I prefer red pot better for overall selection of food, meat and value you get. This one is more chill vibes though which I enjoyed and less wait. $39 supreme with 3 meat choices and $45 for upgrade. Easy parking.

Came with my boyfriend for lunch and AYCE was $36 for supreme before 630p everyday! The upgraded option ultra is $41 and includes seafood and more. Our server Jeanette was so sweet and very attentive! She was constantly checking in on us and orders came out fast. I really liked how they refilled the broth with the actual base and not just water. Large selection of veggies and 3 meats to choose from for the supreme option. Definitely good value!

Super cozy atmosphere with welcoming & friendly management! Was seated immediately and there was the perfect amount of check ins at our table. We had the tonkatsu (black garlic) and sukiyaki broth-both were very flavorful. Meats were perfect. The only thing I wished they had done differently was offer actual corn pieces instead of the baby corn. Of course that's a minor personal take! Liked this place more than MuMu Hot Pot in terms of quality service and broth selection. Would come back & will be recommending this to our friends. THANKS!

Great restaurant with great food and good service. The meat is fresh. They are always full and you may need reservtion ahead

Another lead from TikTok that had me excited to try! It was around 7pm when we decided to add our name to the waitlist via Yelp. The wait time was 1 hour to 1 hour and a half. We left our house and arrived at the restaurant just before 8:15 pm. We were seated at 8:25 pm. So glad for this feature! Not many restaurants utilize this feature but the ones that do, I appreciate you! It was our first time here but once we sat down it felt like we were regulars. I was able to familiarize myself with their menu days before, so once we sat down we marked off our order right away! So there are two tiers to choose from, Supreme $39/person & Ultra $45/person. The Ultra includes everything the Supreme offers plus 4 exclusive Dahsi broths, meats such as American Wagyu, Kurobuta Berkshire pork, Australian Lamb shoulder, & seafood additional premium sides. I believe it's worth the extra $6 to go with the Ultra! Once seated, you are given a laminated menu with a dry erase marker. You mark your choices of broth, meats & sides and once finalized the server will pick your menu up and proceed to input your order. Simple and easy. You are able to order 2 meats per person every round, & up to 3 side choices per person every round. We ordered half Creamy Tonkatsu with black garlic oil and half Spicy Mala Tonkatsu for our broth. Both broths DID NOT disappoint & were extremely delicious! But If I had to choose between the two, I'd probably have to choose the Spicy Mala. But like I said both broths were delicious so you won't go wrong with either. We ended up eating 5 rounds worth! I guess you can say we were hungry! Haha. It gave us a chance to try almost everything on the menu. 10/10 It was our date night and we definitely enjoyed spending it here and are already planning for the next date night here! Would most definitely recommend this place for others to try, so come on down!

First time taking my girlfriend here, it was the right decision, first we walk in we noticed an amazing smell of broth. The meat was super fresh 10/10. The service here is quick and friendly 10/10. Definitely coming back here again very soon ;)

Taichi Pot has quickly become one of my favorite shabu spots in SJ when I want ayce. I typically get the supreme package for $39. I never really felt the need to get Ultra, but I can see why some people may prefer it. My favorite broths are the spicy red miso & spicy umami kimchi. Both are very flavorful, but not that spicy to be honest. You can always add spice separately though. Service is always very attentive and friendly.

A slightly pricier place for AYCE hot pot but so worth it! They give you a menu to write on that you give to your server to place orders. There are a ton of options for broths that have a lot of flavor and the meat quality is great- perfect ratio of meat to fat and didn't come out frozen solid like some other places. They also have plenty of options and variety for add-ons which are also good quality. The sauces are a bit more limited than other AYCE spots and are readily available at the tables (ponzu, sesame, chili oil, and toppings like green onion, garlic, cilantro)

I was in a party of 7 and we had a 7PM reservation on a Sunday. Unfortunately that day the yelp reservation system glitched so we had to wait for 45 minutes. After they told us to get ready, we had to wait even more since they were not actually ready. We waited for over an hour in total - by the time we started eating, it was already 8:40. We split our party in two to sit in two separate tables to make everything quicker. The staff was very nice to us since they knew we had to wait for such a long time. They offered to let us order three broths. However, the kitchen wasn't fully in sync so the person who took our order told us that we only got two broths. I didn't care and we ended up getting a mala broth and a garlic tonkotsu broth. I like how they have sauces tableside so we don't need to get out of our seats. The food was pretty decent and had good flavor. I especially liked the mala broth. We went with the ultra menu and mostly ordered wagyu and lamb to get our money's worth. Both cuts of meat were good. The broth refill is just pouring hot water into the soup so it does get a bit diluted. We thought that they were going to stop serving us at 9:20 since they close on 9:30 on Sundays but they were aware of our situation and kept serving us. We stayed 20 minutes past closing and I appreciate the staff for staying a bit later to deal with us. The owner stopped by to chat with us and he was very nice. He was made aware of our situation and apologized. Even though our interaction was brief it was clear that he is passionate about this restaurant. He talked us into getting one last plate of meat even though I was full and also gave us some mochi ice cream. Even though my experience was very atypical and I was very tempted to give a lower review due to the wait time, the quality of the food and the lengths the staff went to ensure that we were happy justify a 5/5.

I've always liked coming here since COVID, they have the creamiest soup bases, specializing in Tonkotsu. Their AYCE prices are a bit steep but the meat quality is very good. I noticed they added quite a bit of different menu items since we've first came, such as roe fish balls. Service is always very pleasant, they're quick and attentive.
